Welcome! My name is Melissa Santos. I am a bilingual speech and language pathologist. I received my bachelors degree in 2013 from California State University, Fullerton. Following this, I worked as a speech-language assistant for four years before resuming my studies.  I graduated with my masters degree in 2020 from St. Mary’s college in the state of Indiana.

A little about myself! I am Californian born and raised! I enjoy hiking, trying new foods, and am a lover of coffee. To my husband's dismay, I am a huge bird lover. I am fluent in Spanish and have two younger siblings who are diagnosed with Autism.

Across my career, I have had the wonderful opportunity of working with children as young as 16 months to teenage-hood. I have experience with a wide variety of speech and language disorders, not limited to articulation disorders, mixed receptive – expressive delays, autism spectrum disorder, and many more. ​

My personal therapeutic philosophy centers around following a child's lead and nurturing a child’s specific preferences or motivations in order to build their communicative confidence. All care is individualized and highly personal in order to meet your child's unique needs and goals. It is my firm belief that therapy should be fun. As a therapist, my goal is not only to build strong and trusting relationships with each child but to also empower YOU, the parent, to further your child's communication development. You, as the caregiver and/or parent, are your child’s best toy and best asset!
